GISBORNE RESOLUTION

Gisborne, Saturday. The local branch of the New Zealand Labour Party passed the following resolution at a meeting held last night: — > "This branch views with satisiaction the Government's intention of restoring the cut to civil servants, but deplores the fact tbat relief _ work ers' families are forced to exist on a miserable pittance, and urges the raising of the standard of the relief worker to a living wage."
