Washington, November 16 Mr. Perkins indicated to-day that 85,000 workers receivted jdbs and 6,000,000 dollars had been added to the weekly payroll during October, according to a survey of 89 manufacturing and 16 non-manufacturing industries. Since March over 2,800,000 workers had returned to employment with the addition of over three billion dollars to the payrolls within the seven months period. Mr. Roosevelt to-day designated Mr. William Myers, deputy-governor of the Farm Credit Administration, to suceeed Mr. Morgan Thau (jun.). Mr. Myers was formerly Profossor of Agriculture and Economics at Cornell University.
