-By Telegraph — Copyright).
(Rec. 8.40 p.m.) Fremantle, Oetober 17 Among the passengers by the Orontes which arrived. at Fremantle yesterday was the Papal delegate, Archbishop Bernardine, who brought a special message of greeting from the Pope to Roman Catholics of Australia. A large gathering of school children carrying appropriate banners gathered at the ship's side to welcome the delegate. Archbishop Bernardine, in an interview, said that he was very happy to be in Australia where there was full religious freedom, something which seemed to be the privileges of the ordinances of the British Empire where, in addition, the relations between the various creeds were more cordial than they were elsewhere.
