(Rec. 7 p.m.) London, October 12. A joint industrial council meeting at Manchester discussed the serious effect of Japanese competition on the British sillc industry causing much iinemployment. A resolution was passed urging the Government to regulate Japanese imports and if necessary totally prohibit them.
