PLAY READING
Three short one-q.ct plays, "The Prodigal Son," "Philanthropy" and "Smoke Screens," were much enjoyed by members of the evening literary cjrcle of the Women's Club, wh'o met at the home of Miss Margaret Sloane, of Haupapa Street, last Thursday evening.' Bowls of spring flowers and pussy willow made artistic floral decoration in the drawing-room, and to receive her guests Miss Sloane wore a frock of navy celanese. Among the readers present were: Mrs. D. M. Ford, Mrs. A. C. Randerson, Mrs. W. A. McLean, Mrs. W. Campbell, Mrs. Montgomery, Miss E. Rohinson, Miss C. Sharpe, Miss D. Hamilton, lyiiss J. Barber, Miss G. Sloane.
