TE PUKE HUNT BALL
ROTORUA MEMBERS PRESENT. Members of the Rotorua Hunt Club were well represented at the Te Puke Hunt Club ball held at the Capital Theatre, Te Puke, last Monday evening. A glorious evening and a goqd road )despite hair-pin bends) made a comfortable hour and a half's journey and the visitors were well rewarded for their forty-mile trek by a very jolly and most enjoyable evening. A feature of the decorations was a cleverly painted hunting scen.e pqrtrayed on canvas by one of T,e Puke's local artists, and it certainly added the required topical touch to the ball. Large blue horseshoes and popular hunting airs also did not allow the dancers to fprget the natqre of the dance. Among Rotorua members present were: — Mrs. H. Bertram, who wore a frock of jet sequined georgette; Mrs. E. La Trohe Hill, hlack and beige lace and georgette; Mrs. R. Copeland Smith, black and cherry embossed georgette; Mrs. C. Managh, p'erriwinkle blue satin; Mrs. H. Roach, apricot fiische net; Mrs. W. L. Richards, terracotta georgette and silver lame; Miss A. Braekebush, rose pink pean d'ange lace; Miss J. Bertram, turquoise 'blue taffeta. Miss H. Ford, cameo pink lace and georgette; Miss G. La Trobe Hill, amethyst blue peau d'ange; Miss M. Bates, hlack georgette; Miss F. Bates, maroon crepe romaine; Miss B. Johnson; emerald and hlack lace.
