BENZINE IGNITES
DANGEROUS OUTBREAK CAUGHT BY BRIGADE Auckland, Tuesday. The igniting of benzine fumes by an electric radiator caused a fire in the workroom above the Jacqueline Frock Coy's premises in Queen Street to-night. The benzine was in an enamel basin on the floor in which clothes, which were to be cleaned, were being soaked. The fumes travelled several feet where they came into contact with the red-hot element of an electric radiator. The resulting flash ignited the benzine in the basin, the flames rising three or four feet from i-.Ra flnnr. The fire brieade was quick-
ly on the scene, however, and succeeded in extinguishing the blaze with the portable extinguisher before the flames secured a hold.
