JAZZ EVENING
SOCIAL CLUB HOLDS VERY SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION The Opotiki Jazz and Social Club held another of its evenings in the Farmers' Social Rooms on Saturday evening, Mr. H. G. Simpson made a very competent M.C. Th© supper was provided by the committee. Those present included : — Mesdames A. H. Hilfox'd (apx'icot geor-e-ette), W. Creswell (black taffeta), R. O'Sullivan (apricot satin), E. MacKa3r (ivory satin), G. Vanstone (wine satin), W. G. Quarry (Napier) (floral georgette), W. Smith (cherry georgette), Misses L. Bennett (xvory satxn and net) , D. Payne (peach taffeta), J. Kirkbride (black velveteen), M. Birkmyer (figured voile), Z. Gordoxx (scarlet georgette), M. Holloway (apricot satin), W. Looney (cornflour blue georgette), V. Tofrens (ivory satin) , K. Gaxwey (white georgette), F. Sydenham (black spotted net), B. Short (figured satin), M. Arrol (black satin) , R. Bonner (apricot georgette).
