WAIOTAHI NOTES
DANCE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CRICKET CLUB | (From Our Own Correspdndent) . A dance to raise funds for the Waiotahi Cricket Club was held in the Waiotahi Hall on Wednesday evening and proved very successful. Mr. C. Shove carried out the duties of M.C. and extras were supplied by Misses J. Downey and W. Looney. Two monte carlos were won by Miss M. McCallum and Mr. T. Anderson and Miss R. Smith and Mr. J. Keller. Streamers, balloons and confetti added 'gaiety to the evening. A guessing competition was won by Mrs. C. Butterworth. Those present included: — Mesdames C. Shove (floral silk voile), J. Clark (black georgette), G. Powell (red satin), W. McKinnon (blue satin), M. Anderson (chocolate ensemble), B. Eason (floral voile), F. Boyac (black satin beaute). Misses W. Looney (blue georgette), D. McNee (green satin and georgette), I. Marx (wine satin), M. Eason (black satin), M. Day (flame satin), E. Stavely (white georgette), J. Donovan (black georgette), M. McNaught (green satin), D. Voss (black satin), M. McCallum (black georgette), N. McKinnon (pink satin), D. Moody (pinafore frock), V. Moody (floral georgette), J. Downey (floral taffeta), K. Garvey (white georgette), L. Bennett (white satin and net), D. Maddren (black satin beaute), P. Blackwell (floral organdie), J. Lovell (white satin), D. Pat- ■ terson (blue georgette), M. Abbot (flame georgette), N. Tyrie (lemon georgette), M. Kirkbride (rose satin) L. Butterworth (pink georgette), M. Neal (white satin), N. Parkinson (floral georgette).
