TENNIS CLUB HOLDS VERY ENJOYABLE DANCE

On Wednesday evening a dance was held at Taneatua under the auspices of the Taneatua Tennis Club. Mr. P. Cohu acted as M.C., and. very one had a most enjoyable time, joining in niodern and old time dances. The monte carlo dance was won by Miss M. Noble and Mr. T. Lindsay. A splendid supper was served by the ladies, after which dancing was resumed until early hours of the morning. Among those present were: — Mesdames H. Wing (Te Awamutu) (beige lace and georgette), J. Howorth (Cambridge) (cherry satin), J. Thom (wine de lustre velvet), J. -Wardlaw (cherry georgette), J. Ellison (parma violet ring velvet) . Misses Kath Armstrong (Cambridge) (lemon taffeta), Nancy Armstrong (Cambridge) (cornflour blue printed taffeta), M. Baxter (sprig lemon satin), M. Armstrong (Cambridge), B. Peebles (cigar ring velvet), L. Peebles (parma violet lcrinkle crepe), G. Clarke (black and silver panne velvet with ermine cloak) , M. Noble (green satin beaute and cape), J.
