BASKETBALL . SERIES OF INTER-CLUB MATCHES PLAYED ON WEDNESDAY

The first of a series of inter-club basketball matches was played in the school grounds on Wednesday afternoon. The members of each club were dressed in the club uniforms, St. Mary's and St. Joseph's teams (Convent) wearing red and black, Pirates wearing green and black, the Kia Toa (mission) team wearing blue and gold, High School in their black and white uniforms and Old Pupils in their blup and black. The results of the matches were : — Old Pupils A, 13 v. St. Joseph's, 5'; Old Pupils B, 4 v. Kia Toa, 5 ; Pirates, 4 v. High School, 14; St. Mary's, 4 v. High School B, 8. Referees for the matches were Misses R. Bonner, B. Ensoll, D. Dickinson and Sampson.
