SATISFACTORY POSITION REVEALED AT ANNUAL MEETING The ninth 'annual general meeting of the Rotorua Co-operative Terminating Build'ing Society was held on Wednesday evening at the society's offices, Central C'hambers, when the chairman (Mr. D. Jervis) presided ov^- a representative gathering of shareholders. The report and balance sheets were unianimously adopted; the latter- disclosing a very satisfactory position on the year's working, there befing a profit of £724 11s 9d and the sum of £3,800 was appropriated during the past financial year. Three directors, Messrs F. A. Gainsford, W. T. Pakes and G. Steele were re-elected for a further term as also was the auditor, Mr. J. H. Buddle. In Group 1 a ballot for £400 was held, the first number drawn being 53 which was declared unfinancial, the winning number being 639. In Group 2 an appropriation of £600 was offered by tender, the accepted tender being £75 15s per £200. A vote of thanks to the chairman for "presiding was carried by acclamation and the meeting closed.
