TWELVE-YEAR-OLD LAD GIVES CHASE TO BURGLAR

Te Aroha, Friday. Noticing a strange man endeavouring to gain access to a neighbour's v(house at a late hour last night George Edmonds, aged 12 years, left his bed and gave chase. In deeamping- the marauder struck the boy a heavy blow over the head •with an instrument, but the lad continued the chase for some -distance before he lost sig'ht of the man in the darkness.
