Christchurch, Friday. While driving his wife to a nursing home early this morning , Mr. James Philip Dowdle, a dairyman, of ^Cashmere Hills, was seriously injured through his car going off. the road and crashing into a gully. Visibility was bad at the time owing to fog. Mrs. Dowdle had a remarkable escape, and managed to assist her husband to the road, where he was picked up by a passing van. The car was wrecited.
