Auckland', hnuay. Representatives of all interested in the city milk supply met representatives of the -local bodies to-day, the Mayor, Mr. Hutchison, presiding. It was decided to appoint a committee to inyestigate the conditions of the milk trade in Auckland, and frame machinery for institution of a milk council, which would govern the milk and cream trades in the metropolitan area, and report back to a further conference. In opening the conference the Mayor said the position is so acute that failure to reach an agreement wquld be disastrous to the milk industry.
