Brinsley Sheridan's clever comedy, "The Rivals," was very much enjoyed hy members of the Rotorua Women's Club evening circle that met at the home of Miss Clara Sharpe, of Amohia St., last Thursday evening. The hostess received her guests in a dainty frock of flame red velvet and floral decorations in the drawing-room were artistically carried out in autumn chrysanth'emums and foliage. Among the readers present were: — Mrs. W. A. McLean, Mrs. D. M. Ford, Mrs. W. Campbell, Mrs. A C Randerson, Miss Hitchens, Miss M. Cooney, Miss E. Robinson, Miss M. Budd, Miss J. Barber, Miss G.
