TWO TONS OF FLIES

USED FOR FERTILISER. In the carg'o of the steamer American Banker, which recently discharged at London, were bags containing a-bout two ton's of dried flies. The insects in question were giants, being some four inches in length. They are cau-ght by the million as they settle on the surface of lakes in South America, and are us-ed in England in the manufacture of fertildser.
