TO REY. AND MRS. BATEUP. The Rev. and Mrs. F. Bateup, who have arrived in Rotorua recently to take the place of the !Rev. land Mrs. W. H. Speer, who have left for Waiuku, were officially welcomed by church members at the Methodist schoolroom last Friday evening at a social given in their honour. A welcome was extended by Archdeacon F. W. Chatterton, the Rev. Young and Captain Coxhead from sister churches, ia.s well a3, greetings from Methodist Church ofRcials in Rotorua. Social intercourse interspersed with' enjoyable musical items pa&se da very pleasant evening, which concluded with a dainty supper served by members of the ladies' guild.
