GIFT EVENING
FOR BRIDE-TO-BE. A gift evening was igiven at the residence of Mrs. P. Cronin, Ngongotaha, last Tuesday evening in honour of Miss B. Burney, on her approaching marriage. Games and competitions helped to pass away a happy evening. Among those present were: Mrs. G. J. Burney, Mrs. J. Moule, Mrs. H. McAuley, Misses Bernice Burney, Alice Burney, Rita Gambie, Winnie Mehrtens, Rita Jarlov, Jessie Martin, Marie Cronin, Lily Cormay, Dallas Cronin, Nancye Cronin, Kathleen Lowe, Nellie Fisher, Doreen Cronin, Joyce Moule, Joyce Matthews, Colleen Cronin.
