GOOD RESPONSE TO APPEAL FOR FLOWER SHOW TROPHIES The Opotiki Sunshine League reports that it has liad a most excellent response to its appeal for prizes and trophies for their flower show to be held on Thursday, April 27. Nursery, florists, etc., from all over the North Island, have donated the following: — Gladioli, one dozen, named, 10s ■worth; fruit trees or rose bush, 10s worth; dahlia plants, value 10s 6d; pollyanthus or crysanthemums, 10s 'worth; dahlias, one dozen, strff-stem-med; rose bushes, value 18s; gladioli bulbs, 10s; dahlias, 10s; novdlty dah-
lias, 12s 6d. 1 Cash prizes to the value of £1 12s 6d and also a eollection of seedlings from Mr. W. Sydenham; one dozen gerbera plants from Mr. Frank Sydenham; native trees from Messrs. H. M. Budd and N. Potts; canna bulbs from Mr. F. Kibblewhite; gladioli from Mr. Wilson Scott; 10s worth of ,tupil or bearded iris bulbs from Mrs. Urquhart, of Rotorua, as well as the cup already presented by Mr. G. S. Moody.
