MR. ENDEAN'S PROSPECTS AS NEXT ATTORNEY GENERAL

— By Telegra p.'i — Oc-oyrlght)

Wellington, Wednesday. It may be stated with some certainty that the size of Cabinet will not be increased when adjustments necessary as a result of the resignation of the Hon. W. Downie Stewart from the portfolio of finance are finally made. Lobby opinion is that the Coalition Government will adhere to the principle formerly Jaid down that the work of Cabinet can be effectively carried out by ten Ministers. It is considered that this decision enhances the chances of the preferment of Mr. W. P. Endean (Parnell) who is a member of the legal profession and would therefore be eligible for the position of Attorney General.
