BANKING CRISIS
New York, February 28. Strengthened by the emergency legislation hastily enacted to bolster public confidence and conserve their assets, banking institutions in several States transacted business with renewed confidence. Many financial Houses were taking advantage of tbe power of restricting withdrawals. In most cases this was set down at five per cent. of deposits.
