WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

The Woodlands Women's Institute meeting which was to take the form of a garden party at the residence of Mrs. J. Armstrong on Wednesday afternoon, was held in the Woodlands Hall instead, owing to the wet weather. Mrs. J. Armstrong presided and . a roll call on beauty hints was given. As the meeting had intended to be an outdoor one. no fixed programme was prepared for indoors so a great deal of fun was experienced with competitions and games. The institute exhibited a number of their handmade articles in the recent A. and P. Show. All the goods were made by the members of the institute and were placed in the show purely on exhibition. Along with these exhibits were some handmade ' articles done by the Woodland's school children. The institute was pleased to have an opportunity of displaying some of its very fine work to the public.
