MAN'S CABLE PATTERN JUMPER
Hubhy came home the other day full of enthusiasm about a new golf jersey which his friend's wife had ju.dt lcnitted. "It loolcs splendid, Mabel; do you think you could knit me one for golf, too? "Why, yes, dear. I'll get the wool and a pattern to-morrow," promised his Wife. No need to buy a pattern, though, Mabel, for here is just the very thing. Mary Anne found it last week, and in case other Mabel's should feel inclined to knit their hubbies a golf jersey, here are the instructions : — Materials Required. — 14oz of 4-ply wool. Repeat the last 7 rows throughout the jumper. When the work measures 17 inches shape the armholes by casting off 11 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows. Knit on in pattern until the armholes measure 10 inches from the beginning. Shape the shoulders by •casting off 6 stitches at the beginning of every row until there are 44 ■stitches left in the centre at the back of the neclc. Cast off.
