Miss Winifred Steele, who has been on an extended visit to her sister in Sydney, 'has returned to her home in Eruera Street. Mrs. C. W. S. Gee, of Wylie St., is at present vi'sitinjg Auckland. Mrs. B. G. Thompson and family left on Monday by the express to catch the hoat for Tonga, which will be their future home. Mrs. G. Marshall, of Seddon St., is paying a visit to Whakatane, wh'ere s'he is the guest of Mrs. W. G. Bridger. Mrs. C. Hitchcock and Mrs. L. J. 'Bayfeild spent last week-end at Mount Maunganui. Mrs. Ponsonby Peaeock, of Remuera, has left on a vi'sit to Rotorua and Lake Taupo. Mrs. A. Buad, of Victoria St., left on Monday for Hamilton, where she ! will be present a,t the wedding of her ! niece, Miss Margaret Mears, of HamI ilton, to Mr. R. Chambers, of Auckland. Mrs. G. Clarkson, of One Tree Hill, Auckland, spent last week-end as. the guest of Miss. Jean Pearce, of Fenton Street. j Miss Phyllis Torpy, of Hamilton, i was the guest of Miss Q. Mau, last j week-end. j Miss Muriel Cooney, of Wh'aka Rd., visited Hamilton last Monday as the • guest of Mrs. Dr. Phillips Turner.
