THE FLOOD MENACE

(Press. Assn.-

STREAMS STILL UNABLE TO CARRY OFF RAINFALL SEARCH FOR BODIES

— By Telegrapli — Covynglit).

Rec. Jan. 24, 7.5 p.m. Sydney, Tuesday. The flood menace to various outcoast points continues, owing to the streams being unable to carry off the normal rainfall. The search is proceeding for the bodies of the Stanwell Park victims. Many camping parties, fearful of further trouble, have abandoned their camps and have gone home. The railways and roads are still blocked. Stanwell Park and the neighbouring colliery, Coal Cliff, still experienced some difficulty in maintaining food supplies.
