A LARGE ATTENDANCE AT ARRIYAL IN - ROTORUA. With his usual cheery smile, Sir Charles Kingsford Smith alighted from the Southern Cross on Tuesday to greet a large gathering which' had assembled at Te Ngae to see this world-famous aviator, together with what he calls the "old bus," but from the outward eye it looks comparatively juvenile, considering the , wonderful flights it has already achieved. It seemed almost unbelievahle that she was really before 'our eyes — we had yead so much about her and seen so many pietures of her — now we saw her really among us, with her intrepid pilot smiling his welcome from the cockpit.
