Rec. Jan. 15, 11.50 p.m. Sydney, January 15. Dr. Earle Page and his son, aged 21 years, engaged in farming in the Grafton district, were killed by lightning. Hon. Earle C. G. Page, M.B. Ch.M. of Sydney, was born in Grafton, N.S.W. on August 8, 1880. He was elected for Cowper to the House of Representatives in 1919 and 1922. He was Federal Trteusurer £n 1922, Mayor of South Grafton, 1918-19. He served in the Great War with the ThirW, Australian casualty clearing station in Franee as operating surgeon in 1916-17. He married Miss Ethel Esther Blunt, in 1906 and had four sons and one daughter. He was a prominent member of the Country Party.
