two youths killed on cambridge-tirau road CYCLE COLLIDES WITH LORRY
Cambridge, Saturday. A distressing accident occurred on the Tirau-Cambridge Road this afternoon when two Hamilton youths were killed as a result of a motor cycle on which they were riding colliding with an Auckland motor lorry driven by Mr. Clifton Daw. The victims were: — i George Wadham, aged 18 years, of Somei*set Street, Frankton. Noel Anderson, aged about 19 years, also of Somerset Street, Frankton. The two youths, who were returning from Napier after a holiday, j were pillion riding on a motor cycle j and when about seven miles from I Cambridge, eollided head-on with the motor lorry. The motor cycle was completely wrecked but little damage resulted to the lorry. Both youths were shockingly injured and did not survive the ambulance journey to the Waikato Hospital. Wadham was a prefect of the Hamilton High School which he has attended for the past four years, and was a good swimmer and footballer.
