THE STOCK MARKET HAMILTON

The Farmers' Go-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd. report: — At Frankton sale to-day only a medium yarding oi! sheep came forward. As this was the first sale since the Christmas holidays, butehers' stocks were low, and with a smaller entry of wethers and hoggets a shai'p rise resulted. Ewes were also in better demand while fat lamb easily maintained former quotations. Cattle: Only a small entry of ox beef was penned and prices were well in advance of late rates. Cow beef came forward in heavy numbers the majority being second quality, but choice quality showed an increase while other cow beef remained unchanged. Pigs: The yarding of fat pigs was one of the largest for some time, this no doubt being aceounted for by the break in the saies caused by the Iioliday period.
