TANEATUA AND WHAKATANE CLUBS PAY VISIT TO OPOTIKI The Taneatua and Whakatane Bowling Clubs visited Opotiki on Boxing Day ,and played games with the Citizens and Opotiki Clubs. The Citizens Club won by 132 to 86 from Taneatua in the morning and again by 87 to 70 from Whakatane in the afternoon. The following are the detailed results of the matches played 011 the Citizens' green. Citizen members being mentioned first in each case: — Stevenson, Patterson, Thomas, Stevens (s) 22 beat Mead, Mitchell, Wilson, Peebles (s) 13. Maddren, Dick, Stewart, Smith (s) 39 beat Down, Wilkinson, Old, Briggs (s) 19. Jeffrey, Anderson, Hawkins, Wolfenden (s) 12 lost to Grace,, Ruddick, McPherson, Fergusson (s) 24, Borri'e, Miller, Simmonds, Frew (s) 28 beat Sykes, Daisy, McDonnell, Creagh (s) 11. Burnett, Black, Tabb, Foy (s) 31 beat Merrie, McGougan, Gooch, Rae (s) 19. The afternoon games against Whakatane resulted as f ollows; Citizens' members being mentioned first in each case. — Dick, Miller, Creagh, Frew (s) 20 beat Black, Smith, Hellyoor, Curragh (s) 15.
