JAPANESE PURCHASES FROM AUSTRALIA SHOW BIG INCREASE

Rec. Dec. 21, 10.45 p.m. Sydney, Dec- 21. Leading business men who returned to Sydney to-day from the East, declared that Japan is now one of the largest buyers of Australian wool. It is estimated that her purchases would soon reach 1,000,000 bales a year. They were eonvinced that Japan's influende would soon lead to prosperity in Manchuria, which presently would seek Australian wool in the same proportion as Japan.
