BOOKMAKERS IN TASMANIA
Hobart, Dec. 16. Bookmakers will be registered in Tasmania and should be operating early in 1933. The Legislative Council passed the Bookmakers' Bill, and the legislation will be tried for two years. The Bill provides for the establishment of betting shops in any city or town on the sanction of the Police Gommissioner.
