Auckland, Wednesday. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report: — At our weeldy Westfield fat stock market to-day we yarded ox beef in larger numbers than last week. The demand was weak and last week's rise was not maintained. Cow and heifer beef also came forward in larger numbers and here again a slack demand resulted in values being lower. I Extra choice ox sold at 17s per 100 lb., choice and prime 15s to 16s, just killable 13s to 14s, prime young cow and heifer beef 13s to 16s, just killable 9s to 12s. Prime heavy steers made £6 to £6 10s, lighter prime steers £5 to £5 17s Jd, light prime £4 2s 6d to £4 17s 6d, small and unfinished £1 2s to £4, prime young cows and heifers £3 to £3 10s, lighter prime cows £2 2s 6d to £2 17s 6d, other killable cows, £1 10s to £2.
