SHEEP PRICES SHOW INCREASE ON LATE RATES

HAMILTON YARDINGS Hamilton, Tuesday. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd. report: — At Hamilton sale to-day we had a good yarding of fat ewes with a smaller entry of wethers. Prices on all classes showed an increase on last week's rates. A good yarding of ox beef remained flrm at last week's quotations. Cow beef was yarded in average numbers, and good quality maintained its price. Store cattle sold at late rates. An average yarding of fat and store pigs came forward with baconers remaining flrm at last week's prices, while porkers again improved, selling readily under keen competition. Stores and weaners remained on a p'ar with late saies, Prime baconers sold at

equal to 3ld to 3id per 1b., prime porkers 4d to 43-d per lb. Quotations: Prime maiden ewes 8/6 to 9/6, fat ewes 6/2 to 6/8, medium 5/4 to 5/11; killable 4/11 to 5/2; prime fat wethers 12/6 to 13/5, fat iioggets 10/9 to 11/6, > lighter 9/9 to 1.O/6, heavy fat lambs 12/6 to 13/6, medium 11/- to 11/9. Medium fat steers £4 18s to £5 2s, .ghter £4 11s to £4 14s, fat heifers £2 15s to £3 6s; light £2 to £2 10s, iieavy fat cows £2 15s to £4 3s, medium £2 10s to £3 7s 6d, killable cows 20s to 32s, boners 11s to 21s.
