PRELIMINARY ARRANGEMENTS FOR NEXT ANNUAL MEETING The executive of the Opotiki Jockey Club met on Friday evening to discuss preliminary arrangements for the next annual race meeting to be held on Friday, January 27. Among those present were Messrs A. Young (president), J. Tiabb, C. T. Tabb, J. J. Moody, F. W. Reid, Reg. Walker. Apologies were received from Messrs F. J. Short and E. Reece. Mr. W. Burrett was appointed totalisator manager and it was decided that this year there should be only 10/- tickets sold. Entrance fees were reduced subject to the 'approval of the Domain Board as follows: Entrance at main gate, children free; grand stand, ladies from 2/6 to 2/-.
