Canadian Onions: — The market is well supplied with Canadian onions, and merchants find it difficult to maintain recent rates. Pollard and Bran: — There is a fair trade in pollard, but with the advent of warm weather bran is in very poor demand. Local prices are unaltered. Oats and Chaff: — The market for horse feed is exceedingly dull. Oats are still quoted at 3s 10 d per bushel for B Gartons, and chaff at £8 10s per ton. Fowl Wheat: — Australian fowl wheat is selling freely at about 6s 2d per bushel, ex store. A certain proportion of under-grade Southern is also on the market, but the quality is very poor. Maize: — Maize prices are unaltered at 5s 3d per bushel for Bay of Plenty growers. A shipment of South African crushed maize is due here early next. month. Wholesale Current Prices: — Pollard and Bran : Mill prices : Pollard, £6 per ton; bran, £5 10s per ton. Merchants' prices: Pollard, local, £6 10s; Australian, £7 per ton; bran, £6. •Oats: — Feed: B Gartons, 3s lOd per bushel; A Gartons, 4s 5d; clipped Duns, 5s; clipped Algerians, Australian, 5s; New Zealand, 5s 9d; clipped Gartons, 4s 6d. Fowl Wheat: — Australian, 6s 2d per bushel; under grade. New Zealand, 5s 6d up. Maize: Bay of Plenty, 5s 3d; Afri- . can, crushed, 5s per bushel (501b.). Barley: — Feed: Clipped, 4s 3d per bushel. Seed: Cape, 6s per bushel. Maize Meal: — 10s per 1001b. Bajdey Meal: — 9s per 1001b. Chaff: — G.b.o.s., £8 10s per ton, Blenheim or Canterbury. Potatoes. — Local, new, 6s 6d per cwt. Onions: — Canadian, 17s bag, 18s case. •
