SEQUEL TO INCIDENT SETTLED OUT OF COURT

Ilec. Nov. 17, 8.15 p.m. Sydney, Nov. 17. A claim for £5000 damages by Captain de Groot against Mr. Marlc Gosling, former Chief Secretary in the Lang Government, Wai ter Childs, Chief Poliee Commissioner and William Mackay, metropolitan poliee superintendent, has been settled out of court. The terms have not been disclosed. The claim arose over the de Groot ribbon cutting incident at the opening of the harhour hridge in March, de Groot alleging wrongful arrest and false imprisonment.
