EFFECT OF OTTAWA UPON UNITED STATES TRADE

Rec. Nov. 17, 7.35 p.m. New York, Nov. 17. The New York Times' Washington correspondent states that the Commerce Department and the United States Chamber of Commerce announced to-day that separate investigations disclosed that 150,866,000 dollars worth of United States experts to Canada and Great Britain would he affected by the tariff preferences which tliey will accord to each other under the Ottawa agreement. While saying that these totals would liardly be eompletely lost to the United States, it considered that the losses nevei'theless would he considerable.
