PEERS OBJECT TO BILL BEING EXTENDED TO SCOTLAND

Rec. Nov. It. London, Nov. 16. The House of Lords passed the Means Test Bill through all stages after Lord Lovat, Lord Novar, and Lord Kinnoul had protested against its application to Scotland. Lord Novar contended that the extension of the English Bills to Scotland was strengthening the Scottish home rule movement.
