HARDENING TENDENCY AS RESULT OF CONTROL OF IMPORTS

Rec. Nov. 17. London, Nov. 16. Thanks to the restriction scheme prices at Southfield continue to harden, all imported mutton, lamh, and frozen beef averaging a penny per lb. higher. Australian lamh, which was unsaleahle a few weeks ago, particularly benefitted, and is 7Jcl above the price ] ^ then nominally quoted. Saies are approximately on the same scale as before the Governmental action.
