TENNIS SEASON
OPENING LAST SATURDAY. Although the weather was not all j that tennis weather should be, there j was quite a large attendance at the ! Government Gardens last Saturday, j when the tennis season was officially ' opened by his Worship the Mayor, j Mr. T. Jackson. The spealcer, who was introduced by the president, Mr. N. Smith, welcomed all present and wished them 'every success the coming season. A progressive tournament was played during the afternoon, the win- | ners being Miss L. Dannefaerd and Mr. E. Robertson, Among those present were: — Mr. and Mrs. T. Jackson, Mr. and ivirs. "W. A. McLean, Mr. and Mrs. R. Potter, Mr. and Mrs. A. G.
