MOTHERS' LEAGUE

XMAS TREE AT "THE MOUNT." Christmas is coming. In fact, . one thought it had already come to "The Mount" last Friday afternoon, viewing the Christmas Tree and ruddy Father Christmas making his Yuletide presenee felt at the garden fete of the Mothers' League. The tree itself looked respendent in red and white streamers laden with gifts and Santa (Mr. Oldham) was kept very busy distributing presents to the small members at the fete. Mrs. H. Bertram, who was assisted by her daughter Joan, wore dainty frock of floral ninon and a beige hat, while the latter was in floral pique voile. Miss Erima Bertram, in shell pink georgette, acted as hostess to the "tiny tots." During the afternoon a short programme of items was presented, those contributing being Mrs. Rowley, Mrs. Joseph Bear, of Auckland, Miss Kronfeldt and Miss E. Winslade. Among thoset present were.
