PRESBYTERIAN LADIES GUILD
! BRIDGE AND 500 TOURNEY. Last Friday evening the Presbyterian Ladies' Guild held a most suej cessful bridge and 500 tournament. j There was a large number of players | present and a most enjoyable evening j was spent among the cards. During j the evening two vocal solos and two elocutionary items were given by Mr. J. Buchan and Mr. G. White; and Miss J. Pearce and Miss G. La Trobe Hill respectively, each item, receiving due applause from the listeners. A generous list of prizes had' been provided for the card tournaments. The 500 first prize was won by Mrs. Fitzgerald and Mrs. Lindsay, while xui's. Miller and Mr. W. Jones both received consolation prizes. In the bridge section, Mrs. Hamilton and Mr. J. Roberts were the successful couple, Mrs. Russell Gardner and Mr. Campbell both gaining consolation trophies. A dainty supper was served by the ladies guild and a pleasant evening was brought to conclusion with the National Anthem. Among those present were: — Mrs. B. M. Green, Mrs. J. Roberts, Mrs. W. A.
