GIRL GUIDES

ENJOYABLE BRIDGE EVENING. In order to swell the funds of the Rotorua band of Girl Guides, the president, Mrs. W. S. Wallis, gave a most enjoyable bridge evening at h'er Jiome in Pukaki Street last Wednesday evening. The rooms were artistically arranged with iceland poppies and aruin lillies, and to receive her guests Mrs. Wallis wore a smart gown of claret laee. A progressive bridge tournament was held, the prize-winners being Miss Corlett, wh'ile Mrs. W. W. P. Hall was successful in the lucky number competition. Among those present were: — Miss E. J.
