NEWFOUNDLAND POLITICIAN ARRESTED FOR FRAUD FALSE DOLE RECEIPTS

Rec. Oct. 30, 8.0 p.m. Vancouver, October 29. A message from St. John's Newfoundland, states that Roland Starkes, an Opposition member of the Legislature for White Bay, was arrested on 17 charges of fraud in conneetion with the distribution of relief to unemployed. The police laid charges that Starlces had fraudulently signed dole receipts during a period of several months. He was released on bail.
