MISSING 'PLANE

Wellington, Thursday. Last seen circling over Johnsonville at 3.45 this afternoon, a Wellington Aero Club's 'plane, ZKAAZ has not yet been reported. The taaachine carried two club-trained pilots, Messrs F. Gresser and E. G. King. The 'plane visited New Plymouth over the week-end and called at Wanganui and Palmerston on the return flight to Wellington. It apparently spent some time circling over Johnsonville and at the time when it was last seen, conditions were misty with rain falling. Squad'ron-Leader Stedman flew round the coasts and overland, but could see no signs of the missmg machine. An extensive search commences io daybreak.
