EVASION OF INCOME TAX BY TWO MELBOURNE MOTOR FIRMS

±tec. uct. zo, /.ou p.m. Melbourne, Oct. 25. Representatives of two city motor firitts wete fined a record amount of £10,560, for income tax evasions. It Was explained that a special reserve fund was created in 1925, and was later found to he unnecessary and withdrawn. When resjoonsible officials realised this was evading tax, they were afraid to infonn the Department.
