Hamilton, Sat. Reginald L. Pearless, who was charged in the Hamilton Police Court, on Friday with causing serious hodily harm to Ralph Josling Arnold, who died in the Aujekland Hospital on Tuesday evening, was released on hail in one surety of £100 and remanded to appear at Auckland on Thursday 27th. Lyndfa Mabel Peatless, -the wife aged 40 years, was again charged with attempted suicide on Wednesday last, and with three breaches of a prohibition order, before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., at Hamilton on Saturday. Accused is the wife of Reginald L.
Pearless, who appeared yesterday m connection with an alleged assault case at Auckland. Sergeant M. J. Angland in asking for a remand until Tuesday, said Mrs. Pearless was still in hospital and her
condition had not lmproved. By Tuesday she should he in a fit condition to appear in Court. Mr. Wilson: Is a matron with her? Is she being safeguarded in her present condition? Sergeant Angland: At present there is no matron with her. Mr. Wilson: Well, that is a matter for the police to attend to. A remand unil Tuesday was granted.
