MR. McCOMBS INTRODUCES SEGOND AMENDMENT BILL
Wellington, Wednesday. In the House of Representatives to-dajr, Mr. J. McCoxnhs (Labour, Lyttelton) sought leave to introduce the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration.. A.xnendxxxent Bill (No. 2). The speaker raised a question as to whether the xxxeasure was the saxne as that for which leave to introduce had been refused last week. Mr, McCombs submitted that the question could only arise when the iill was produced. However, the xneasux*e differed from the previous measure and he thought he could accbm-' " plislx in four clauses' what he sought to acconxplislx ixx fourteen clauses in the previous bill. The Bill was ixxtroduced and read a first time. * ProSciency Exaxmnation _ Replying _ to Mr. R. A. Wright CGovt. Wellington Suburbs) tha Pi'ixxxe Minister (Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes) said that it was xxot proposed to make a charge for children sitting the proIxciency examination this year.
